| Meth-O-Gas® 100 and Meth-O-Gas® Q Commodity
fumigants used for insect control on many different commodities.
Methyl bromide has recently been phased out of production, but still
has exempted uses for "Quarantine and Pre-Shipment" uses, as well as
for "Critical Use Exemptions". For further information on
methyl bromide, contact us at

Methyl bromide used for soil fumigation is still
approved under the "QPS or CUE" exemptions. Tree-site replants
remain an important use for methyl bromide.
Pic-Brom 25 (75% methyl bromide, 25% chloropicrin) is also
registered for tree-site use. The added chloropicrin gives
superior disease control and growth response. |
 |
| Chloropicrin has shown to be very effective
against "Almond Replant Disease". Cardinal Professional
Products has cooperated with USDA to perform studies on methyl
bromide alternatives, and we recently received registration on
chloropicrin for tree-site applciations. |
 |
The pictures show the second year of almonds
replanted after treatment of 1.0 lb/tree-site of methyl bromide, and
2.0 lbs. of chloropicrin/tree-site.
Chloropicrin is a very effective fumigant for control of various
soil pests, including nematodes. As you can see from the
photos, the growth response from chloropicrin is significant. |
