House Mouse



House mice are extremely prolific breeders, at 35 days of age they mature and carry for 18 to 21 days. Under good conditions a female can have a litter approximately once every 50 days. In 6 months one pair of mice can eat about 4 pounds of food and produce 18,000 fecal droppings.

Norway and Roof Rat

 


The Brown or Norway rat may reach sexual maturity in two months. The average litter size is 7 to 8, with 3 to 12 litters in a single year. The Black or Roof rat becomes sexually mature in 4 months and continues to grow until it is 18 months old.
