Introducing VaporPH3os®
Horn Diluphos
System®

This is an automated system, which
allows the dilution of pure phosphine directly with air below the explosion
limit, allowing the introduction of a mixture of air and phosphine into the
fumigation facility without risk of ignition. The system relies on several
safety mechanisms, which have been proven safe even in serious incidents such as
the loss of electrical power.
To operate the equipment, you only need to connect the equipment to an electric
supply, to one nitrogen cylinder and one phosphine cylinder. Then, through an
instrument display window the equipment will show the operator the steps to
follow in a simple manner.

Fosfoquim
Phosphine Monitor
Continuous measurement of
phosphine through a non-destructive infrared absorption instrument

This information is directly from Fosfoquim's web-site.
1. Phosphine
Sampling and Fumigation Monitoring
There was a need in the fumigation business to monitor phosphine concentration
during its application and for the entire fumigation time.
Today there are many possibilities available to fulfill this need, such as
detection tubes, electrochemical cells and gas chromatography. The first of
these can not be automated and requires that the operator takes the readings
during fumigation. The electrochemical cell is a good solution, but its
measurements have interferences and some need a lot of time to clean after large
concentration readings. The cell must be changed after a short time and
calibration is necessary to obtain accurate measurements. Finally the best
available method was gas chromatography, but the instrumentation is very
expensive.
2. Fosfoquim
Phosphine Monitor
After looking for a non destructive method for continuous monitoring, we learned
that infrared absorption can fulfill this need. The right wave length and
chemical scrubbling of interfering gases, allows perfect readings in less than 1
minute intervals in periods of more than 95 hours and concentrations up to 2000
ppm.
In our equipment the sample is passed continually through the equipment , where
humidity, CO2 and NH3 are chemically eliminated. Then, the
sample passes trough the infrared cell, where the concentration is measured.
The equipment allows the operator to visualize on the display screen the
sampling data in graphic displays and the exact amount of the phosphine
concentration in terms of ppm, with time and date that the measurement was
taken.
Afterwards the data can be downloaded to a flashcard to be read with a computer
in a spreadsheet or through an RS 485 output direct to a computer.
